Their reply? No, but the PAL Wii and the NTSC Wii will not play each other's games. The problem occurs when a Wii is bricked after the first update and cannot d/l the second. Everything else is downscaled to 480p. The HDTV will receive a 1080i signal, but the picture is grainy and has been down-sampled.
